Join the party!
The Quai-des-Cageux area on Rue Jacques-Cartier in Gatineau will be buzzing with activity on Saturday, September 28, 2024, for the very first edition of Courons Gatineau! Come and cheer on our runners and walkers! There will be entertainment on site starting at 2:00 PM. Take the opportunity to visit Expo Courons Gatineau. Stay for the post-race party and keep the fun going in the bars and restaurants on Jacques-Cartier!
Schedule
- Opening of the site and animation : 2:00 PM
- Start of the 5K: 3:00 PM
- Start of the 2K: 4:15 PM
- Start of the 10K: 4:30 PM
- Post-race Party: Until 7:30 PM. Afterwards, the party continues in the bars and restaurants of Rue Jacques-Cartier.
Access to the site
The start and finish of all races is in front of Quai-des-Cageux, at 930 Rue Jacques-Cartier in Gatineau. We strongly encourage everyone to use public transit or active transportation to get to the site, as parking spaces are limited and we want to limit the GHG emissions generated by the event.
Public transit
STO bus 67 will drop you off at the corner of Boulevard Gréber and Rue Jacques-Cartier, just steps away from the start/finish line. Use Plani-Bus to create your itinerary; to get to the site, enter Rue Jacques-Cartier in the destination field. Note that registered participants can travel free of charge on the entire STO network on September 26, 27 and 28; just show your bib or registration confirmation.
Parking
Parking is available in Parc de la Baie. Access is via Rue de la Baie (93 Rue de la Baie) and Rue Saint-Louis (988 Rue Saint-Louis). On site, our volunteers will direct you to the start line.
Supervised bicycle parking
If you’re coming by bike, you can leave your mount at our supervised bicycle parking, located on Ruelle du Como, a stone’s throw from the start/finish area, next to the bag check. You can also get there from Rue Jacques-Cartier, via one of the two pedestrian paths located on either side of the start/finish aid. The service will be provided by a local sports organization, to which users are invited to make a voluntary contribution.
