A 1 km children’s race is an ideal way to introduce younger children to running. The course is designed to be an accessible, fun, safe and age-appropriate.

For safety reasons and to ensure a positive experience for our youngest participants, Courons Gatineau requires that children aged 5 and under be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult during the 1 km event. In accordance with the requirements of Athlétisme Québec, all accompanying adults present on the course must be officially registered and wear a valid race bib. To do so, the accompanying parent must register in the “Accompanying Parent – 1 km” category and provide the name of the child they will accompany. Please note that this registration is free of charge, and only one accompanying parent is permitted per child.
